Founder + CEO
Born and raised in South Seattle, WA, local Black Muslim Theater Artist, Adem Hayyu, was surrounded by many creative artists and organizations who thrived on telling stories that matters the most to the community but lacked the technical resources to spread their message due to budgetary constraints, lack of equipment and many other challenges. As a way of giving back to his community that's given a lot to him, SkyLit was founded as a solution to these challenges.
Resident Board Operator
Fernando is a Theater Technician who has worked alongside Adem and Madelyn for over 5 years. He has assisted in producing events for El Centro De La Raza, Youngstown Cultural Arts Center, and local high schools. Additionally, he has mentored and trained many students (including Adem) on backstage production.
If he had to choose, he'd get enough bread to befriend a horse sized duck instead of fighting the duck.
Resident Sound Designer
Madelyn Zandt is a Seattle based Sound Designer and Engineer with a focus on Theater Production. Madelyn originally introduced and trained Event Production to Fernando and Adem and acts as SkyLit's guide when it comes to creating the best solutions. Madelyn also has over a decades years worth of experience as a mentor and trainer for all things sound from high school students to trained professionals.
Edgar Soto is an up and coming stage technician. He's very passionate about everything that goes into Event Production. His personal bucket list consists of graduating from a 4 year college. As for his work bucket list, he aims to be comfortable with his job and be able to work without the help of others.
